DARIN L. OFFERDAHL, MBA, CPA

Darin L. Offerdahl is a partner with Offerdahl Emerson & Company, LLC.  Darin has over 25 years of experience providing accounting and advisory services to closely held businesses, individuals, and non-profits.  After eight plus years in the United States Navy, Darin transitioned to an accounting career with national, regional and local public accounting firms directing client relationships, engagements and audit teams and auditing the financial statements of a wide range of governmental, non-profit and commercial organizations highlights his professionalism and knowledge.  In addition, Darin spent a number of years at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded biotech as their Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance.   Preceding Alexion, Darin spent several years with Acme United, a publicly traded manufacturer and distributor of office supplies, as their Accounting Director.  Darin earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State University and Master of Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from Regis University School of Management.  Darin is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut

Darin is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Darin is the treasurer with 818 Ministries International, Inc. and a former director and treasurer of The Multicultural Leadership Institute, Inc. and Adelbrook, Inc.  Darin is also a 3rd Degree black belt instructor and member of the World Tang Soo Do Association teaching youth, adult and special needs classes weekly.

 

KERRY EMERSON

Kerry L. Emerson is a tax, accounting and small business partner with Offerdahl Emerson & Company, LLC. Kerry has over 20 years of experience providing accounting, tax, advisory services and estate planning to organizations and individuals across Connecticut. Kerry’s years of experience with local public accounting firms include directing client relationships with regards to accounting, tax strategies and tax compliance requirements for a wide range of closely-held organizations.

She is a graduate of Rutgers University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She leads and actively participates in the planning and preparation of quarterly and annual tax compliance needs for both closely held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Kerry is also often utilized by clients as a “temporary controller” or “finance director or advisor” when they need personnel. Her experience of running and operating the financial function of a business or non-profit gives our clients added comfort in knowing we can help them under times of stress. Kerry is on the Board of Directors of Youth and Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth, Inc. supporting the needs of local youth and families.

SANDRA M. WOODBRIDGE, CPA

Sandra Woodbridge founded the firm of Sandra Woodbridge, CPA in November 1990. Since that time the firm grew to include another partner, two full time staff members and four part time staff members and became Woodbridge & Cusano, Inc. and merged with MAWC, LLC in November 2012. Sandra is a partner of AO & Company, LLC. Sandra has over 30 years diversified business experience in the public and private sector. Her area of practice includes accounting, taxation, small business consulting and financial planning. She is responsible for our trust and estate division. Our clients rely on her for her intuitive ability to come up with and implement a sound financial plan for them. Having served as a controller and Vice President of a small manufacturing firm, she brings a hands-on knowledge of the business world to help our clients manage and run their businesses profitably. She also has experience in the non-profit sector, including A-133 audits.

Sandra graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Haven with a B.S. degree in Accounting. She has served as an elected member of the board of finance for the Town of Clinton. She has also served on several non-profit boards. Sandra is a member of both the AICPA and CSCPA. Sandra has passed the series 7 Investor’s exam and life health and disability exams.

DOMINIC L. CUSANO, MBA, CPA

Dominic Cusano is a partner of AO & Company, LLC and has over 15 years of diversified business experience in private industry ranging from small firms to a Fortune 500 Company prior to entering the public sector. His areas of expertise span financial accounting and auditing, cost accounting, government contract accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment. Dominic has earned the following Certifications: Certified Management Accountant, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, and Certified Public Accountant.

In November of 1999, Dominic Cusano joined Sandra Woodbridge, CPA as a partner in the firm. Having served in positions from Plant Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst and Controller to Vice President, he has acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to provide real world solutions to our business clients. He is responsible for our Auditing Department and has experience in small businesses, Yellow Book (HUD), and Single Audits as well as compilations and reviews. Other areas of practice include consulting and taxation both individual and business.

Dominic graduated from the University of New Haven with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and went on to earn an M.S. in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, CSCPA, and IMA.
